Apple Cinnamon Honey Cake Recipe

This apple cinnamon cake is fresh apples coated in cinnamon sugar then baked into a buttery vanilla cake base. A delicious fall treat that’s perfect as is or served with a scoop of ice cream on top.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/3 cups granulated sugar divided use
2 large eggs lightly beaten
8 tablespoons of unsalted butter 1 stick, melted
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Juice of 1/2 lemon
3 to 4 tart apples such as granny smith
1 tablespoon of honey
cooking spray
whipped cream or ice cream for serving if desired

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Coat an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray and line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.
